THE Saudi teen who barricaded herself in a Thailand hotel to fight against being deported to her family has been recommended asylum in Australia. Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun, 18, arrived in Bangkok on Saturday appealing for asylum but was denied entry into Thailand. She began broadcasting her struggles on social media, saying she had “escaped Kuwait” and thought her family would kill her if she returned home.
